Finally, two new Bollywood releases have arrived in theatres. Ayushmann and Parinneti starrer Meri Pyaari Bindu and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Sarkar 3 have hit the screens today. Both movies are carrying a very low buzz and are expected to dominated by Bahubali 2 which has been ruling the box office for the last two weeks. Both movies have made on a moderate budget but the competition with Bahubali 2 will make life difficult for then at the box office. Let’s have a look at the budget, screen count and box office economics of Meri Pyaari Bindu and Sarkar 3.
Sarkar 3 budget, screen count and box office economics
Sarkar 3 has been made on a budget of around 35 crores. The budget of the film is slightly higher than the second instalment of the film which was made on a budget of 28 crores. Sarkar 3 has been released on 1425 screens in India and 400 screens in overseas.
Talking about the economics, the movie needs to earn around 45 crores to be declared a hit at the box office. Considering the competition and early reports, it seems difficult for the movie to even cross 25 crores.
Our Prediction: Sarkar 3 will be a big failure at the box office with the lifetime collection of around 27 crores.
Meri Pyaari Bindu budget, screen count, box office prediction and economics
Ayushmann and Parineeti Chopra are making a comeback of a sort with Meri Pyaari Bindu. Produced by Yash Raj films, the budget of the movie is 22 crores including the promotion and advertising cost. The producers have claimed that they have covered around 10 crores through music, satellite, overseas and digital rights. Still, it needs to earn 30 crores to be called a box office hit.
The movie has been released on limited screens. It seems a good decision as the movie is mainly targeted to the multiplex audience. Meri Pyaari Bindu has been released on 750 screens in India and 325 screens in overseas. Considering the competition with Bahubali 2 and early day 1 reports, it seems difficult for the movie to even cross 20 crores.
Our Prediction: Meri Pyaari Bindu may recover its budget and emerge as a decent success at the box office.
