Vidya Balan’s poor form continues with Begum Jaan as the movie failed to attract the moviegoers in the first weekend. After an average opening day with the collection of 3.94 crores, the movie witnessed around 10% drop and earned 3.5 crores on Saturday.
Running on around 1100 screens, Begum Jaan witnessed some growth on Sunday but that wasn’t enough to post a good opening weekend total. On the other hand, Punjab movie Manje Bistre starring Gippy Grewal had a superb opening weekend. After a huge opening day with the collection 2.5 crores, it remains stable on Saturday and Sunday. After a bumper opening day, Gippy Grewal’s Punjabi film Manje Bistre remained stable on Saturday and Sunday. Manje Bistre accumulated 2.59 crores on Sunday. The first weekend collection of the movie stands at 7.02 crores.
