We are almost halfway through the year and you would be surprised to know that out of all the movies that have released on the box-office, only a few were able to get the tag of a hit film. That’s right! If you don’t believe us, check out this list of the all the hit Bollywood movies of 2017-

1. Raees

Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees was the first hit of 2017. The movie was made on a budget of around 125 crores. When we consider all the recovered cost including box-office collection, satellite rights etc, the movie turned out to be a semi-hit. The producers, Red Chillies and Excel Entertainment made 90 crores profit as the movie grossed 286 crores worldwide.

2. Kaabil

Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil released along with Raees and turned out to be another hit. With a total budget of 50 crores, the lifetime collection of Kaabil was 104 crores. The producers of the movie made huge profits as they distributed the domestic and overseas rights at a reasonable price. It was declared an average hit.

3. Jolly LLB 2

Jolly LLB 2 was made on a total budget of 78 crores including P & A and Akshay Kumar’s fee. The lifetime collection was 117 crores domestically while the movie made 34 crores overseas. The movie turned out to be a big hit for producers as well as for Akshay Kumar who works on profit sharing model.

4. Badrinath Ki Dulhania

Badrinath Ki Dulhania was made within a very small budget of around 47 Crores. The lifetime collection of the movie was 115.68 Crores and it even beat the overseas collections of Jolly LLB 2, Kaabil. The movie was declared a super-hit!

5. Bahubali: The Conclusion

Bahubali 2 is one of the costliest movies made in Bollywood so far with a huge budget of 250 crores (inclusive of the first part) and the movie broke all records when it crossed the ₹350-crore mark within the first three days, shattering all the records set by any of the Khans’ films. The movie continues to perform well at the box-office.

Till 02 May 2017, only five movies have made it to the hit list of 2017. The list is expected to grow further with the release of movies like Tubelight, Golmaal Again, Half Girlfriend, Judwaa 2, Tiger Zinda Hai, Rehnuma, Dutt biopic and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
