Manje Bistre, Begum Jaan 2nd Day Collection: The box office fate of Vidya Balan’s Begum Jaan was sealed on Saturday as it witnessed around 10% drop.

Vidya Balan’s poor form continues with Begum Jaan as the movie failed to attract the moviegoers. After an average opening day with the collection of 3.94 crores, the movie witnessed around 10% drop on its second day. Running on around 1100 screens, the movie has received poor reviews from critics. As per the official numbers shared by Taran Adarsh, Begum Jaan 2nd day collection if 3.5 crores.

The collection of Begum Jaan has been seriously impacted by the incredible performance of Punjabi film Manje Bistre and Hollywood movie The Fate of the Furious. Manje Bistre had a phenomenal start in Punjab and NCR region. In other parts of the country, Furious 8 was the first choice of the moviegoers.

Made on a budget of 19 crores, it needs to earn 30 crores to be called a hit. After two days, the total collection of Begum Jaan stands at 7.44 crores. With no chances of revival, it seems that the fate of the movie has been sealed in just two days.

Manje Bistre 2nd Day Collection

After a bumper opening day, Gippy Grewal’s Punjabi film Manje Bistre remained stable on the second day. According to the official figures share by Taran Adarsh, Manje Bistre second day collection is 2.18 crores. The total collection of the movie after two days is 4.43 crores. It is all set to become one of the biggest hit of Punjabi cinema. It is Gippy Grewal’s top opening day grosser and also highest opening day grosser of 2017 in Punjab.

Released on only 200 screens in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi City, Manje Bistre has beaten Begum Jaan, Furious 8 in NCR region. It is expected to remain strong and put up a god first weekend total.

In international markets too, the movie earned 2 crores in two days which is higher than most Bollywood movies released this year.
