The movie opened to an occupancy of around 55% in most parts of the country. Kolkata was the best performing circuits as the movie reported an occupancy of around 80% in the morning shows. Despite a normal working day, housefull shows were reported in Kolkata. Mumbai and Gujarat were the second best performing circuits with the occupancy in the range of 60%. North and central India remained a bit low but are expected to witness good growth in the evening and nights shows as there is a big holiday tomorrow. Raees 1st Day Box Office Collection: Early Estimates
As per early estimates, the movie should easily cross 20 crores on its opening day. While we were expecting the first day collection to be around 17 crores, it seems that Raees will easily cross this figure. The final numbers will depend on how the movie performs in the night shows.
As per Box Office India, Raees has taken a better opening than Aamir Khan’s Dangal. Well, the final figures will be out tomorrow and it would be interesting to see how much money the SRK starrer has minted on its first day.
