Simran, Lucknow Central first week box office collection: The combined first week collection of both movies is around 27 crores.
It was a disastrous week for Bollywood as both releases, Lucknow Central and Simran failed to make an impact at the box office. Let’s have a look at the first week box office report of the films.
Simran first week box office collection
Kangana Ranaut’s Simran was released amidst a lot of controversies. The movie got off to a terrible opening and earned around 2.77 crores on its first day. It witnessed some growth over the first weekend but that wasn’t enough and the fate of the movie was sealed there itself.
The movie earned 1.41 crores on its first Monday and since then it is dropping. Simran earned around 1 crore on Thursday to take its first week collection to 15.5 crores. Made on a budget of around 30 crores, Simran is a box office failure.
The failure of Siman has proved that Kangana Ranaut has no box office pull. Her last four movies, Katti Batti, I Love NY, Rangoon, Simran have failed terribly at the box office.
Lucknow Central first week box office collection
The box office fate of Lucknow Central was sealed on the first day itself when it got off to a terrible opening. The movie earned 2.04 crores on its opening day. It recorded decent growth over the weekend but like Simran, the opening was too low to make an impact.
Over the weekdays, the movie keeps on dropping and earned around 3.5 crores from Monday to Friday. The first week collection of the movie stands at around 12 crores. Made on a budget of around 30 crores, Lucknow Central is a box office failure.
All eyes are now on this week releases, Sanjay Dutt’s Bhoomi and Shraddha Kapoor’s Haseena Parkar. The expectations are low from these movies. Let’s have a look at the box office prediction of Bhoomi and Haseena Parkar.
